Dutch Oven Peach Cobbler

I know, there are a million recipes out there for this.  I know they’re all practically the same.  However, we just tried this one and it’s my new favorite.  (mostly because you don’t need to add a few sticks of butter to it)

2 30 oz cans of sliced peaches (drained)

1 Yellow cake mix

1 can Sprite or 7Up

Add peaches to the dutch oven and spread around.  Sprinkle cake mix on top then pour soda over the cake mix.  Stir to mix completely.  Place lid on oven and cook with 12 briquettes on top and 12 on the bottom for 45-60 minutes.  Rotate oven and lid every 15 minutes.

My favorite part is when you add the soda and the whole thing starts to fizz like crazy.
